MainOne is offering two (2) broad classes of service;
15 year pre-construction uptake contracts and private leased circuits.
Pre-construction uptake contracts
MainOne is offering pre-construction Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) contracts, which enable our customers own rights to a portion of the cable system for fifteen years. Customers subscribing to our IRUs, enjoy appreciable discounts in addition to the benefits of a capitalized lease rate to acquire and/or own such capacity.
Private leased circuits
For customers that are unsure of their future bandwidth demands and are unable to make the significant IRU commitment, MainOne will offer private leased circuits, which offer the same technical benefits as our IRUs but over a short period of time, ranging between 2 and 5 years. The lease offers will become available in January 2010, or approximately six months before the cable is ready for service.
