Global IP Transit
Main One is currently able to offer IP services and interconnection to other Tier 1 networks from Telehouse London. We have partnered with Cisco to deploy the IP-NGN service which will be launched in Q22011. Our IP service offers capacity subscriptions start at 10 Mbps. Enquiries on this service may be sent to moc.e1329985888lbace1329985888nonia1329985888m@sel1329985888as1329985888 or moc.e1329985888lbace1329985888nonia1329985888m@ofn1329985888i1329985888 Our IP Services will include opportunities to connect customers seeking IP Transit or Internet Access capacity access.
Main One’s IP services supports both IPv4 and IPv6. Customers are able to choose their own capacity subscription options: either a flat rate port billing plan which is a predictable option or a committed data rate (CDR) plan that is appropriate to your needs. Committed Data Rate (CDR) can also be combined with bursting.
The service is monitored 24/7/365 by the Main One Network Operations Center (NOC) which has state of the art diagnostic and predictive tools. Our network performance and availability metrics include:
- 100 millisecond round trip delay between Africa and Europe
- 0.05% packet loss
- 99.99% on-net (protected port), 99.98% on net (unprotected)
Monitoring and protection against denial of service (DoS) attacks against the Main One transit connections (this comes with our standard service)
From an IP service delivery standpoint, we are able to provision the service to our customers in less than 7 working days i on-net via an Ethernet port) and within 48 business hours if the service required is an upgrade of an existing port, subject to availability of a last mile connection. Off-net circuits can be quoted upon request.
