Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU)
IRU contracts enable customers to own the rights to capacity on the cable system for fifteen (15) years. Customers subscribing to IRUs enjoy appreciable discounts and have the additional possibility of capitalizing the purchase costs year on year, as an IRU can be treated an asset on the books of a business.
