Collocation at Main One – Power

Primary Power

Main One’s facilities were recently classified as a Tier 2.5 on power.

The facility is served with public power supply directly from the National Power Grid at 33KVA and then stepped down to 11KVA and finally a three phase 415v for the facility.

Backup Power

Secondary power is provided by dual generators (a 640KVA and 350KVA) operating in a redundancy configuration. These generators are fed from multiple diesel storage tanks.

The backup power is designed to run for more than 20 days in any power emergency situation where there is no power from the national grid and no supply of fuel (diesel).

The design allows for a third mobile generator or alternative power source to be connected to the facility.

The backup power provides more than 20 days of autonomy with its fuel supply system

Energy Centers

The main systems feeds dual purpose built energy centers serving as Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) plants.

The energy centers comprise of rectifiers configured to provide DC power and inverters to provide AC.

Autonomy is provided in each energy center by banks of the industry’s most powerful and dense battery systems. Each energy centre is designed to provide more than 4 hours of operation at 100% loading.
