In line with current global trends that see most firms leveraging outsourced connectivity and hosting solutions, Main One’s offers a state-of-the-art facility for customers who require colocation to complement its world class unrivaled high speed communications solutions from Africa to the rest of the World.

Main One offers collocation facilities within its Cable Landing Station (CLS) premises (Lekki 2) located approximately 26km from Victoria Island, Lagos.

The facility is home to the current 1.92Tbps (upgrade capability to 5Tbps) submarine cable system running 7000km from Portugal with initial landings in Accra, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria. The other planned landings for Tenerife (Canary Islands), Morocco, Senegal and Cote D’Ivoire promise regional connectivity within the African continent.

Internet Access

Internet access at this facility is provided through Main One’s deployment of an Internet Protocol Next Generation Networks  (IP NGN) platform based on the industry leading IP vendor Cisco's platform. The Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) core and a protected upstream termination in the UK with a Tier 1 peering point (Global Crossing) gives us access to all other Tier-1 providers and access to Global Crossing’s extensive network for MPLS based services to Europe, North America and the rest of the world.

Access to the Metropolis

The facility is served by multiple dual routed fibre optic cables. This local world class infrastructure buried at a 1.2m depth, concrete encased and placed in well planned metropolitan infrastructure (roads etc) was deployed by Main One to provide a fibre optic ring allowing a mix of lit capacity and dark fiber between the cable landing station and its Point-of-Presence in Saka Tinubu, Victoria Island (renowned as a communications hub for  Telecommunications Operators and Large Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Lagos, Nigeria. This infrastructure is purpose built to serve the long haul connectivity as well as provide access to the metro through over 200 secured manholes deployed to allow inter-connectivity.
