Job Description: To be responsible for the efficient running of the Global Network Operations Centre and cable station in Lagos Nigeria with end to end responsibility for the operations and maintenance of the MAIN ONE CABLE SYSTEM (‘MAIN ONE’) Network and interconnecting transmission facilities. Oversee 24X7 operations in all terminal locations and ensure network quality objectives are achieved through effective planning, controls and pro-active management. Ensure skills development of operational staff to fulfill operational requirements and drive process improvement and automation initiatives to improve service delivery and reporting to customers.
Requirements
At least a Bachelors degree in Information Technology/Electronics Engineering or a related degree.
Minimum of 10 years work experience, 5 years in Network Operations and Support Maintenance with at least two years managing NOC operations, preferably for a large ISP, ASP, web hosting facility, data centre or telecommunications operator.

SENIOR TRANSMISSION ENGINEER Location: Nigeria

Job description Provide 3rd level technical support and lead 2nd level support on the Main One Network. Point of escalation for network problems across submarine DWDM, SDH and IP/MPLS based networks. Well schooled in principles of network design and experience designing and implementing large scale next generation networks. Lead planning for the engineering and deployment of new network services leveraging Giagabits of capacity on Main One’s network and interconnecting with Tier 1 networks around the world.
Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Masters of Science preferred, Trainings and Certification on various networking technologies including DWDM, IP, MPLS, SDH. Ability to confer with technology providers to design complex networks in line with business requirements. Able to design resiliency into networks and ensure security via implementation of various firewalls. Must be able to lead network planning and architecture design and defend plans to management and business partners. Must also be able to analyze infrastructure requirements for long term growth of the business
