The General Manager, Network Planning and Engineering is responsible for the planning, design and implementation of reliable network infrastructure to support the business plan and ensure sustained and consistent service delivery to customers. The GM, Network Planning and Engineering will continually evaluate network growth plans and service delivery platforms, partnerships and performance levels with a view to ensuring that the Company’s immediate, medium and long-term infrastructure requirements for service delivery are met at reasonable costs.

Department: Technical Reporting Line: Chief Technical Officer Responsibilities: To provide technical leadership for the efficient running of the Network Operations Centre in its prime role of providing exceptional KPIs for the MAIN ONE CABLE Network and portfolio of network services. Specifically, the Senior Manager, Network Operations Centre Manager shall:
- Ensure the performance of the MAIN ONE Network is monitored and services assured on a 24 hr per day 7 days a week basis.
- Manage, coordinate and support network performance management systems for the delivery on required network service levels.
- Coordinate effective fault diagnosis and problem resolution to ensure network and service availability of 99.995% or higher.
- Formulate, test and implement restoration plans for use in the event of a major network outage.
- Formulate preventive equipment maintenance plans for the different elements that make up the MAIN ONE Network.
- Maintain all network and process documentation: - design documents, as built diagrams, capacity utilisation, network availability, spares holding (location, and availability).

The Operations Support Analyst will assist with all operational activities including:
- Management of system/tool quality within the Network Operations by ensuring they are kept updated regularly considering the dynamic nature of the network evolution (Configuration Management).
- To ensure high network availability by planning and implementing contingency plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- To plan and execute all training programs, cross functional exchange, role swap and Network Operations Boot camp (Knowledge management session) for Network Operations staff.
